A collection of self portraits, edited by Terry and captured by peer Elsa Weibe, this is a sarcastic take on celebrating a birthday.

It feels hurtful, sometimes, to age when the only "gifts" may be a body that slowly begins to ache and seize up in pain. Terry deals with chronic pain and is a ambulatory walker/cane user. Their relationship with walking can be complicated, when they feel little to no pain it is their favourite thing in the world to do, but if they are experiencing pain it can feel detremental.

This gothic inspired makeup look, along with the facial expressions potray the powerful emotions of what it means to be in one's body when experiencing chronic pain, day by day.
