About me
Terry Hudson is an emerging photo based artist on the unceded and unsurrendered land of the Algonquin Anishinaabe Nation. The nurturing of this land, and Indigenous presence on Turtle Island here will continue to be incredibly vital to have a society and to make art here in Ottawa.
The work Terry creates is a visual connection to a fantasy world they have created accompanying the parallel of being grounded and honouring the nature around them.
Terry creates portraiture projects for themselves as a tool to understand the vulnerability of feeling alone in this world, while finding comfort in the absurd, and look to other artist's like Michiko Kon and Arielle Bobb Willis. They use colour and lighting as a velcro from reality to an ideal.
