Fatum Astra- Latin for fate of the stars is a book by Terry Hudson. Saturna, a feminine extraterrestrial is researching earth. Written in the perspective of Saturna, the language has intentional grammar and spelling mistakes. For example, she is not used to the word trees- and in her language, they are roughly translated to "giant carbon towers" .She journals about her journey throughout Ottawa, Canada. She discovers a love of art and the horrors of the earth. This is a preview of some of the photos that are in the book- available to order for 35$.
The images in this book feature some completely digital fantastical imagery that are playful in colour, high contrast, drop shadows, and grain. There are some photos that are completley digital and some that use pink and green lomography film as the background. The model photos are all taken digitally in studio.
